CACTS, Ile Ife Received ACTEA Accreditation Team

It was a brave step in the right direction as Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ile Ife received the accreditation team of the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA).

The Provost, Pastor Professor C.O. Oshun; the Deputy Provost, Pastor Dr. M.O.A. Oluwaniyi; the Registrar, Pastor L.B. Akinyosoye and other members of the CACTS Management received ACTEA delegates, Professor Emmanuel Oyemomi and Professor C.C. Orgu at the Main Campus of the Seminary domiciled at Ile Ife on Sunday, April 28, 2024, for a two-day accreditation visit.

During the official welcome meeting held at the Conference Room of Pastor Medaiyese Building on Monday, April 29, 2024, the Provost, Professor C.O. Oshun said the Management in its pursuit of excellence and globalisation of the theological contributions of the Seminary has decided to put CACTS on the world map by collaborating with ACTEA, a body with international recognition.

ACTEA exists primarily to offer academic accreditation of theological programmes through a rigorous process of quality assurance and accountability, and to offer institutional networking and support services.

The Lead of the accreditation team, Professor Emmanuel Oyemomi commended the achievements of CACTS so far. He added that ACTEA aims at strengthening churches in Africa through theological education and CACTS equally stands a chance to benefit from the dividends of what ACTEA represents in the global space once the accreditation is consolidated.
