INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT
Information Technology (IT) refers to an entire industry that uses computers, networking, software and other equipment to manage information. Generally, IT departments are often in charge of storing, processing, retrieving, and safeguarding an organisation’s digital information. The IT Unit of CACTS is optimistic about building the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure the Seminary needs and incorporating it into all of the Seminary’s activities. It emphasises the importance of unified communications, computers, and the enterprise software, middleware, storage, and audiovisual components that are required to enable users to access, store, transmit, comprehend, and work with information. The Unit has expanded throughout the years, providing the Seminary with a range of IT services.
The IT Unit of CACTS also houses the Café for browsing the internet, carries out repairs of computers and their accessories, trains students to become computer literate, aids staff research and updates, and equallyoffers photocopy and printing services. The Management of CACTS has ensured 24-hour internet access for both staff and students to harness the gains of technology for teaching, learning, social interactions, and the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
